Then Venkatesh Iyer comes in. Earlier he got a slow start but later he enlarged it. He scored 60 runs from 29 balls. He smashed seven boundaries and three sixes. He was out on the ball by Harshal Patel.
Rinku Singh also performed well. He was not out on 32 runs in 17 balls. He hit one sixer and four boundaries.
Andre Russell scored 1 run from 2 balls. He was run out on the last ball of the match.
Mohammed Shami, Pat Cummins, Zeeshan Ansari, Harshal Patel, and Kamindu Mendis all took one wicket each. However, a catch was dropped by Nitesh Kumar Reddy in the over of Simarjeet Singh.
2nd Inning
Sunrisers got the target of 201 runs to win the match. But they fell short of it. SRH was all out in just 16.4 overs at 120 runs. Thus, they lost the match.
Openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma scored only 4 and 2 runs in 2 and 6 balls respectively. Head was out on the ball by Vaibhav Arora and Sharma was out on the ball by Harshit Rana.
Ishan Kishan also scored only 2 runs from 5 balls. He was also out on the ball by Arora.
Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 19 runs from 15 balls and Kamindu Mendis scored 27 runs from 20 balls.
The highest run-scorer in this match for SRH was Heinrich Klaasen. He scored 33 runs from 21 balls. He hit two boundaries and two sixes. He was out on the ball by Vaibhav Arora.
Ankit Verma who has performed well in earlier matches, was able to score only 6 runs from 6 balls.
Pat Cummins, the captain made 14 runs from 15 balls. He smashed two boundaries.
Harshal Patel scored 3 runs from 5 balls. Simarjeet Singh was out on duck and Mohammed Shami was not out on 2 runs in four balls.

SRH once again lost the match to KKR
As we all know, KKR and SRH were the two finalists of IPL 2024. Last year in the final, KKR won the match and SRH was not able to complete the overs. This time also, in 2025, when both teams played SRH was not even able to play all 20 overs. They were all out 16.4 overs.

Vaibhav Arora was announced as the Player of the match. His stats are 3/29 (4).

Before this match, KKR was in the last spot i.e. position 10. Now, after winning this match KKR is on number 5 and SRH is on number 10 in the points table.
