GT’s Captain, Shubman Gill after winning the toss decides to bowl first.
RCB scored 169 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 8 wickets. Gujarat Titans (GT) chased down the score in 17.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
1st Inning
While batting first, RCB (Royal Challengers Bengaluru), lost its most precious wicket in the form of Virat Kohli in the second over of the game. Virat scored only 7 runs from 6 balls. He smashed one boundary. He was out on the ball by Arshad Khan.
The other opener Phil Salt was not able to do much. He just scored 14 runs from 13 balls by hitting one sixer and one boundary.
Devdutt Padikkal also went on short runs by adding only 4 runs from 3 balls.
The captain, Rajat Patidar also got lbw by Ishant Sharma at just 12 runs from 12 balls.
Liam Livingstone was the highest run scorer for RCB. He scored 54 runs from 40 balls. He smashed five sixes and one boundary.
Along with him, Jitesh Sharma made a good partnership. He was the second-highest run scorer for the team in this match. He scored 33 runs from 21 balls. He smashed 5 boundaries and one sixer.
Krunal Pandya was out on 5 runs in 5 balls. Tim David added some good runs to the team's score. He scored 32 runs in just 18 balls. He was out by Prasidh Krishna on the last ball of the match.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was not out on 1 run in 2 balls.
Mohammed Siraj took 3 wickets by giving only 19 runs in his four-over spell. His economy was 4.75. He was the leading wicket-taker for GT in this match. He took the important wickets of Phil Salt, Devdutt Padikkal and Livingstone.
The second-highest wicket-taker for GT was Sai Kishore. He took two wickets at an economy of 5.50. He gave just 22 runs in four overs.
The other bowlers Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Ishant Sharma all took one wicket each.
Rashid Khan was the only GT bowler without any wickets.

Now GT has to chase the target of 170 runs to win the match.
GT Openers- Sai Sudharsan and Captain Shubman Gill scored 49 and 14 runs respectively. Sai was out on the ball by Josh Hazlewood and Gill by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford finished the match for GT in a winning cause. They made a good partnership.
Jos Buttler was not out at 73 runs in 39 balls and Sherfane Rutherford scored 30 runs from 18 balls.
In all, GT won the match in 17.5 overs by losing just 2 wickets and 13 balls left.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood took 1-1 wickets each. No other bowler of RCB was able to take the wicket.
