1st inning
Arshdeep Singh, an Indian pacer took the very first wicket of in-form opener, Mitchell Marsh. He was out at Duck. The other opener Aiden Markram scored 28 runs at a strike rate of 155.
Nicholas Pooran was the highest run scorer for LSG. He scored 44 runs from 30 balls.
Team’s captain Rishabh Pant once again failed to deliver with bat. In this season till now he has not come to his form. He was out by Glenn Maxwell after scoring just 2 runs from 5 balls.
After Pooran’s wicket, Ayush Badoni tried hard to take his team to a good total. He was the second-highest run-scorer. He scored 41 runs from 33 balls. He was out by Arshdeep Singh.
David Miller scored a few of 19 runs from 18 balls. But Abdul Samad played well. He scored 27 runs from 12 balls. He was out on the ball by Arshdeep Singh.
Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan were not out at 3 and 0 runs respectively.
For Punjab Kings Arshdeep Singh was the leading wicket taker. Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Maxwell, Marco Jansen, and Yuzvendra Chahal all took one wicket each.
2nd inning
The opener Priyansh Arya was not able to do much. He just scored 8 runs from 9 balls.
But the other opener, Prabhsimran Singh played a major role in the team’s win. He scored 69 runs in just 34 balls. He hit 3 sixes and 9 boundaries. He was out on the ball by Digvesh Singh at 10.1 over, and the team’s score became 110/2.
Shreyas Iyer, the captain of PBKS also scored a half century. He scored 52 runs in 30 balls. He was not out at the end. The other player who was not out at end was Nehal Wadhera. He scored 43 runs from 25 balls.
Digvesh Singh was the only LSG bowler who got wickets.
