KKR batting
As KKR has lost, so they were asked to bat first. By batting first, KKR openers were not able to do much.
Quinton De Kock was caught out by Ashwani Kumar on the ball by Deepak Chahar. He scored only 1 run from 3 balls. However, the other opener, Sunil Narine, who missed out on the previous match was bold out for a duck in 2 balls by Trent Boult.
After that team’s captain Ajinkya Rahane also was not able to do much. He scored just 11 runs from 7 balls. Out of which he scored one sixer and one boundary. He was catch out by Tilak Verma on ball by debuntant Ashwani Kumar.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi was the highest run scorer for KKR in this match. He scored 26 runs from 16 balls. He hit one sixer and three boundaries. He was caught out by Naman Dhir on the ball by Hardik Pandya.
Venkatesh Iyer also disappointed the team by scoring only 3 runs from 9 balls. He was also caught out by Ryan Rickelton on the ball by Deepak Chahar.
Rinku Singh also does almost same as captain He scored 17 runs from 14 balls. He was catch out by Naman Dhir on ball of Debuntant Ashwani Kumar.
Due to this very low score and many overs pending, Manish Pandey was called as impact player. However, he was also bold out by Ashwani Kumar. He scored 19 runs from 14 balls.
Andre Russell, one of the finest batsmen of KKR tried his best. But he also wasn't able to take KKR off the mark. He was bolded out by Ashwani Kumar. He scored 5 runs from 11 balls.
Ramandeep Singh also tried his best. He was the 2nd highest run scorer in this match. He was caught out by Hardik Pandya on the ball by Mitchell Santner. He scored 22 runs from 12 balls. He hit two sixes and one boundary.
Harshit Rana was caught out by Naman Dhir on the ball by Vignesh Puthur. He just scored 4 runs from 8 balls.
And at last Spencer Johnson was not out at 1 run in 3 balls.
Analyzing
Sunil Narine was out in 1st over. Then in 2nd over, Quinton de Kock also got out. As openers were out early, KKR’s captain should have taken the responsibility for some more overs. Even Angkrish, Venkatesh, and Rinku were also caught out.
As wickets have fallen Rinku or Harshit should have tried for anchor role, then they might have added some more runs to team’s score.
Bowling
Trent Boult took 1 wicket in 4 overs at an economy of 5.75. Deepak Chahar took 2 wickets in 2 overs at an economy of 9.50.
And other 3 bowlers Hardik Pandya, Vignesh Puthir and Mitchell Santner took one wicket each by economy of 5.00, 10.50 and 5.10 respectively.
MI batting/ Chasing
Rohit Sharma today have a great chance to come to his form as there was no pressure for chasing down fast, but he missed it. He scored only 13 runs from 12 balls. He smashed one sixer. He was catch out by Harshit Rana on ball by Andre Russell.
The other player who was out is Will Jacks. He scored just 16 runs from 17 balls. He was also catch out on ball by Andre Russell.
While not out players who successfully chased down the taget are Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav. Ther have scored 62 runs in 41 balls and 27 runs in 9 balls respectively.
Except for Andre Russell no other bowler was able to take a wicket.
